A single story home, with three bedrooms, for a family of 4. This couple with their two kids wanted a peaceful living outside busy Lisbon. Sintra offers a rural living yet close proximity to the city centre as well as the historical centre of the villa. Close proximity to beaches like Praia Grande was also a key factor for choosing this plot.
The house is largely connected to a centered patio, oriented to the west / south west. Natural ventilation and lighting played a key role in the development of the concept.
A simple yet modern material palette, blending rustic with modern composes the overall aesthetic, taking advantage of the existing terrain and maximizing all spaces for the house's users.
