Designed for a small modern house located in Kalia, Costa Rica. The main challenge was to find the right balance of size and adapt the house to the demanding site, which featured a heavy slope. Simple materials, fluid indoor outdoor transitions, and a front facing pool, were all demands of the client.
The house consists of a single ground floor for living room, kitchen and master bedroom + spares, and a basement (open to the elements, on the south facade) which features a recreational area as well as a gym and other services.
Simplicity and ease of implementation, plus a strict budget, resulted in a house with a simple facade and large open space living room and main area.
